Blue is the kind of a movie which looks extremely interesting and exciting when we see its promos or when we read its plot but when we see the entire movie on screen we feel extremely cheated and disappointed.
The director of the movie is very clever bcoz he made extremely slick promos and induced excitement in us therefore stupid people like me went to the theatres to watch the film but came out disgusted by the movie. I will request everyone that plz don’t go for this movie and never ever watch any movie in the theatre which has akshay kumar in it bcoz all his movies are completely bakwaas.
Well to begin with the plot of the movie: Akshay kumar and sanjay dutt are close friends living and working in bahamas. They often fight boxing matches with each other.Lara dutta is sanjay’s girlfriend. Akshay kumar is a rich playboy and is often flirting with the girls. Zayed khan is sanjay’s estranged brother who is living in bangkok. One day a mafia don gives him gives him a packet of money and tells him to deliver to somebody but he loses the money and bcoz of fear that mafia don will kill him he fleeds to his brother sanjay dutt in bahamas. But the mafia don finds him in bahamas and kidnaps lara duta and in exchange demands his lost money.
SO akshay suggests a plan to sanjay to find the lost treasure named ’ LADY IN BLUE’ in the sea but at first sanjay dutt refuses bcoz he has some personal issues regarding the lost treasure but eventually agrees to find it and then begins the search to find the treasure. Blue’s plot is very interesting but its execution is very frigid and dull. The screenplay is very boring and has no thrills and excitement in it. The plus point of the screenplay is 2 or 3 action sequences on the road which are extremely thrilling. BUt the rest of the movie is slow and dull. The dialogues are very juvenile and amateurish.
The cinematography is brilliant and the underwater sequences are shot beautifully. BUt for a film that is an underwater thriller the underwater scenes come only in the cilmax and the rest of the movie is on the land. The climax of the film is devoid of any excitement and thrill and is just like a typical climax of an action movie where heroes are fighting with the villians and in the end the heroes prevails. The action in the movie is good especially the bike and car chases on the road. The direction by anthony dsouza is immature and lacks finesse. THe performance by sanjay dutt is ordinary and he looks extremely fat and disinterested in the film. Akshay kumar portrays his role with conviction and looks and acts nice.
Zayed khan is surprisingly impressive. Lara dutta’s bikini act is disappointing bcoz she only wears bikini under the sea and never on the beach or ground like all other heriones in other movies. Plus she has no role to speak of and is completely wasted in the movie. If u want to see a good role and act of lara then watch billu barber on dvd. The music by AR RAHMAN is weak and dull and there is only one good song in the movie’chiggy wiggy’. Kylie minogue looks like a billion bucks and dances like a trillion bucks. THe best part of the movie is the song by kylie minogue. The whole screen just lights up when she comes and dances on the screen. Kylie was impressive otherwise the film is a disaster.
