Blue Star! what a name and brand to allure your expectations, isnt it!? I purchased this product with the same feeling, and its just been 4 months I purchased it. It stopped working. I called up BlueStar service center, they took 2 days to send the technician. Then the technician tells me that Membrane is chocked up and need replacement, and It is chargeable(1700 Rs for a Membrane which got chocked up in just 4 months of purchase. which is 25% of the total cost of the machine I paid.so that way in 1 year being in warranty, either I go on replacing membrance every 4 months which makes the cost to purchase a new one and I throw my water purifier every 4 months - Imagine the cost of water purification-). I repeatedly called blueStar customer care to inform about the situation that my product is in warranty, how can you charge me for anything happens to internal part of the product. the response I got was even though product is in warranty, you have to pay for consumable parts, which was not informed to me by Tata CliQ, So I called up Tata CliQ customer care, and guess what they were even more blunt on their side, they didnt entertained replacement and/or upgrade to better machine, neither they owned up the responsibility of not informing their customer about the partial warranty. I am surprised, we have to deal with such bullshit service and customer care in our country, that too from 2 of the so called reputed brands in the market. Im not leaving both these buggers, if required, Ill write to consumer court. but Im not paying for parts and service at least in warranty period.
