God save me from service technicians of bluestar

I purchased an Air conditioner from blue star 1.5 ton on 29 / 05 /2012 from Sathya Agencies at Valasaravakkam / Porur, Arcot Road branch.


Model No. of the AC : 3HW18TB


Serial No. : D20147800212410130929


Installation of that AC was done by Jamal Basha on date 31 / 05 / 2012. After the installation the cooling effect was perfectly NIL , The sound of the fan was not normal. The installation in-charge found out that there was no gas / coolant on the AC. He told me openly that the entire AC should be replaced. I rang up to the store manager of the Sathya Agencies and insisted him to replace it.


The store manager gave the mobile number of Mr. Deva Piran who was in the head office at Tuticorin. I rang up to him to replace the entire unit. But He out-rightly rejected & refused to hear my words. Argued with me over the phone that the gas would be filled again and the AC would be set right. On that day itself , I argued with him for nearly 30 minutes over the phone. But he pacified me by saying that the AC would be replaced if any fault arose after filling the gas.


For over a week , the discussion & the argument continued , But Mr.Devar Piran did not concede my request.With much dissatisfaction I have to accept his words. All this happened on a 3 week period and only at the end of the 3rd week from the date of purchase, AC started to work.


After 10 months on April 7th , Technical problems recurred again. The fan made a loud noise & there was no cooling effect. I reported the trouble to Mr. Devar Piran , The proprietor in the head office, Tuticorin. He gave the mobile number of Mr.Muthuraj a service technician / manager for Blue star distributor, Chennai. I rang up to him continuously for 10 days and after a lot of effort. He sent a technician by name Mansoor. He seems to work for Geotech Agency.


Mansoor took the photo of the fan and explained that the rod in the fan was broken. I rang up to Muthuraj again for further action. After a week , 4th May 2013 , Mansoor came again and took the broken rods in the fan and went away by saying that the rods will be replaced on 6th May 2013. But so far nobody has turned up. The complaint was given on 07 / 04 / 2013 , The technician registered the complaint on 09 / 04 / 2013. Nearly a month is complete but there is no concrete action taken so far.


We the family members have been suffering for over a month during this hot summer. I have rang up to the concerned authorities for over 48 times. No proper response so far. Please take immediate action to rectify the defect or replace the unit as early as possible. If no concrete action is taken, I have to approach the consumer protection council.
