I purchased a Bluestar AC (Model: IA518PLU) in December 2022, and Ive faced several issues with both the product quality and after-sales service in just 23 years of usage.
Timeline of Issues:
Within the first year, the blower started malfunctioning. The quality was very poor, and although it was under warranty, your customer care initially refused the claim. I had to argue and fight for the replacement, which was eventually done.
After 23 years, another issue occurred. I raised a complaint with customer care, and a technician visited after 12 days, charging for inspection. He informed me that the indoor PCB was faulty and needed replacement. Thankfully, it was still under warranty.
After 34 more days, he came and replaced the indoor PCB. But when the AC was switched on, he said that the outdoor PCB was also faulty.
He took 710 days to arrange the part, but during this time, I repeatedly called the service center, and they did not respond to any of my calls, which caused a lot of frustration.
Finally, both the indoor and outdoor PCBs were replaced after 1215 days. However, after installation, when the technician switched on the AC, it still didnt work. He then informed me that the inverter motor was also faulty and needed to be replaced, costing approximately , which is not covered under warranty. This is very disappointing, especially when other AC brands offer a 35 year warranty on such major components.
It has now been over a month, and my complaint is still unresolved. Every 23 days, I have to call the service center to remind them about the pending issue, but there is no proper response or resolution. Its extremely frustrating that even after so many follow-ups, the complaint is still not addressed.
My Concerns:
The quality of Bluestar AC components is extremely poor. I have faced multiple major failures in just 23 years.The technicians lack proper knowledge and keep identifying problems one by one, instead of diagnosing everything at once.The after-sales service is very unprofessionalcalls are not answered, there are long delays, and no proper communication.This level of service and quality is highly disappointing, especially from a brand like Bluestar.
