Blue Star Window AC worst servicing, Please don't

I am just writing this mail to make sure no one should experience the same kind of problem. I will also put this email in all the possible network media (face book, twitter etc) and circulate to whoever I know in the software field to make sure no one will face this problem in future.


Problem

I bought Blue Star Windows 1.5 ton AC probably in the year of 2007 with stabilizer. Blue Star Dealer itself visited and fitted my AC and stabilizer. From then it is working well and mostly we use during the summer time / whenever it is hot. Our usage will be around 4 to 5 hours by keeping the timer.


On March 17th, 2011 I got the problem where is compressor is not switching on. I called Blue Star and given complaint and their local technician visited my home on 18th of March. He told that there is problem with capacitor and it will charge around 950/=. So we have paid 950/= + 500/= (service charge) which is 1450/=. We have used for almost a week and observed that it is working well. We got the same problem after 1 week.


I have called Blue Star and again given complaint. The technician who visited said that, it is again the problem with capacitor. I told him why again, he said don’t reveal sir, it is duplicate one. And also he requested not to complain blue star people and we will change by tomorrow same time. Myself and my wife both are working, so my wife took off and she came to home expecting that this guy will come. No one has come and I called that guy and he said he will come on next day. Again we have waited and no one has come. Then I have given complaint to Mumbai office and thank god someone from same service center visited around 11 PM in the night.


He started verifying sockets, stabilizer etc to prove that I am wrong in giving complaint. He finally told that there is problem with stabilizer where it is giving more output. He told me to use the direct connection to power socket. After he left, I switched on for around 25 minutes and then I see the same problem.


This time, I thought it is not good idea to give complaint again to Blue Star. I called AC technician from our known friends and he has actually observed and realized that my COMPRESSOR has gone. I was shocked as I have to buy new one and felt bad for the services provided by the BLUE STAR company. The technician was surprised and saying “ I don’t know why Blue Star people capacitor of 45mm, they should use 50 +/- 5 mm”. I said, I don’t know anything I just relied on them and this is the output.


So Guys please be aware of what was the problem and never call Blue Star technicians when you get problems with you AC. I think this is most worst service I have ever seen in my life from a big Corporate company.


It is really big lesson for me. Of course, I am thinking on taking few actions on them.
