Never Ever buy Window ACs from blu star.
I bought this piece last summer i.e. in july 2009 in Delhi. Made a mistake that didn’t read a single review before buying this. Blue Star is such a big name when comes to commercial cooling solutions, only because of this big name i bought it. Also compared its power ratings with Carrie and found it lower so I went for it.
Unit was installed the same day at my home. When I switched it on for the first time it Vibrated like a 20 year old Bajaj Chetak. I can even Feel the vibrations sitting in the room. Along with this vibration compressor noise is so much as compared to my previous samsung AC that you cant hear the vocals in a movie if sitting in front of the AC.
Vibrations was due to the faulty installation which was corrected but noise is still there annoying me everyday and make me remember my mistake. I also complained to Blue Star People regarding this but they forwarded my complaint to the dealer from which I bot the unit and he didnt turn up because he only installed it incorrectly. I again complained to them but still no action.
If you talk about the cooling its good until the compressor is on, as soon as it turns off it fills the room with the peculiar smell of plastic which is hard to handle and then I have to lower the temp. more to make the compressor start again.
In short, Window ACs from Blue Star SUCKS!!!!
