Bluestone.som has probably been the worst online e-commerce site we used. My sister lives in the US and she ordered Rakhi pendant for me(I live in Hyderabad), which is publicized heavily on bluestone website, two weeks before Rakhi festival. She called up bluestone and got the assurance that it will certainly be delivered before Rakhi as there is a huge lead time.
To our dismay, it didn’t! Inspite of paying heavily for the jewelry and doing persistent follow-ups, they just didn’t deliver all the while giving lame excuses that customs officer stopped them(nonsense argument, as it was domestic delivery from Bangalore to Hyderabad) and that there is a liquid in the box so airport officials stopped it(really! jewelry melted is it?), and eventually saying shipment reached Chennai instead of Hyderabad!
Backend logistics is the most crucial aspect of online retailer and they screwed up big time on this. They used third grade courier service gojavas for such pricey shipments and then don’t bother to follow-up. Indifferent and useless customer support people, and blind management who don’t care about doing business ethically. No compensation is offered so far in-spite of doing follow-up regularly(shipment hasn’t reached yet anyways)!
Avoid ordering online from these guys. There are many more trusted websites for online jewelry.
