Location:- Candolim. It comes in the route which is towards fort Aguada(from Mpasa, Baga, canlingute .). It is located on left side of the road. Keep your eyes open coz it might get easily missed.
Ambience:- Very Exotic, different from most of the places around candolim. When you enter you will see places covered with plants all over and small paths leading to sections where you got tables. there are many sections however there two main sections. One is outside the restaurant(it will have roof though) and the other one is .yeah you got it, very smart.inside. The section which is inside has many private sections, where you can sit with your family or group of friends and have a private kinda party time however the small private sections are not fully enclosed. You will see some modern art, paintings, some pictures of old loyal customers having ball of time around. There areold fashioned lamps hung everywhere. There are many such exotic/art kinda of things which will catch your eyes and make it a really interesting place to hang out. Again, The place is not fully enclosed as such, just make you feel that you with the nature and give home-like feeling. there are onlytable fans(be careful about the table fan facing directly on u.with beers and nice zephr will dive you into sleep! two of my friends dozed off like that). Food:- Alrite, Hold tight coz I am going to give you list of things I had and couldn’t resist everytime I go there! Must try is: mussels in oyster sauce, golden fried prawns, chicken xacuti, prawns goan curry, fish goan curry with steam rice. You should also try starters featuring squids, stuffed crab masala(yummy!), they also serve sharks however I never tried it. There is maincourse called Recheiado/ vindalho and cafreal which you can get it with pork/beef or fish also! Desserts, You must try Bobs delight. With All kind of ice creams it has chocolate sauce and dry fruits and it is so fresh! I had three of them. wink wink Babinca and dodol are one of famous goan desserts you can try that too.
Music:- Ok, This place is not a disc or pub, This is a place where you can relax and enjoy your food and drinks with your family or friends. Music is mostly jazz, blues, Goan numbers with those foot tapping rhythm. Basically, very soothing and relaxing. You will find it very peaceful.
Service:- Well mannered, friendly, amicable. Food takes it time to come, so order your food much in advance and spend time drinking and chit chating oogling around all the interested things kept around.
Parking:- No problem! Just park it outside the restaurant but make sure you are not parking it beyond the white line which defines boundary of the road. .
Not many people know about this exotic place so you will happen to see loyal customers and foreigners sitting around and chit chatting. This is not a noisy place. So lot of ppl who perfer serenity and have good light time hang out here. I came to know this place because my band member is very good friend of the owner Bob and we do play guitars and jam with all the people at this place sometimes. So come along and join us!
