Pathetic experience

The other day, my mother got a voucher in an NIE function. The voucher states "This voucher entitles you to Rs. 2000 off on certain beauty services. This coupon also entitles you to a free haircut".

I go to dhole patil road branch of body and soul, and they stiffly refuse to entertain me. They say this is to be redeemed only at Bhandarkar road branch. I told them, that when we were given this coupon we were told that we could redeem this coupon at any branch in Pune. But they do not listen.

Ok. I call the bhandarkar road branch and ask if this coupon is valid. They say yes, the haircut is free. Ok I take an appointment and travel 18kms to get to bhandarkar road. I go there and say that I had called up and have an appointment etc, and the expression changes. These are customers who’ve come for free.

I ignore the behavior. Then, she starts acting weird saying that how did you get this coupon? I say this was given at the NIE function. And she starts rambling off saying that only people who are given this coupon are entitled to the redemption. I ask, was this stated anywhere on the coupon? Did you state this when you gave away the coupons? She goes berserk and says "I should have made it clear. People don’t have the." This is brutal! Do you say this to your customer?

I explain to her, that she is raising her voice for no reason but she won’t listen. I ask her for name, and she won’t give her name. Why? you guilty of a sin? Anyway, let me tell you she was not an employee, she was the owner of the branch itself. If such people are so rude and mannerless what do you expect from employees. Her name is Kumakshi Bhatia. Do drop in there sometime, to see how mannerless someone can be.

Another point of concern here is, if you do not want to give "free" haircuts to people, why distribute such coupons? makes sense?

They are not trained to have manners! They distribute coupons for a free haircut and then when you turn up after taking a prior appointment(which they do not write on the coupon) they treat you like beggars! I’d say, since you charge your customers so many thousands, at least train your employees to have basic manners!
