First time since I started writing movie review, a movie is going to get ’one’ star..unfortunately have to do this with a Sallu-Kareena movie(both being my personal fav!)
But..!!duty comes first SIR;)(LOL!)..so!!!here is the review of Bodyguard...!
A movie which looks quiet promising in the first few scenes..esp Salman’s grandiose entry through the title track..with his gf...oops ex-gf(or is she really ex??) Kat!..You watch them dance on screen togethr n u simply forget about the existence of Kat’s downgraded version and Salman’s rumoured GF Zarine in bollywood !!
Salman flexes his biceps and the entire theater resonates with the sound of claps n whistles..but the reality is..only Salman’s aura is not enough to make a movie worth watching..there are other components , like-1)a good story line(which should be convincing too) 2)Direction 3)editing....our film industry directors/producers have simply forgotten about the basic n the most important ingredients of a good movie..
they simply want to encash Salman’s charm and want to earn big bucks based upon his loyal fan following..This started with Wanted and this trinity ended with Ready!!..Film/salman’s fan junta have been fooled enough by the directors..not anymore...!
As always, the music is good and rivetting..i personally found "teri meri " song’s audio-video quiet amazing..
2 aspects(apart from innumerous else) which I despised about the movie were-
a)The concept of Kareena’s best frn backstabbing her...she didnt even pay enough attention to Bodyguard man!!forget about falling in love..how desperate:P!
b)Karishma’s voice over (for bebo)..!!Mr siddiquie..what the hell were u thinking about when this unintelligent idea popped into ur pea-sized brain??am stupefied!!really!!..
So ..This is it..a movie which lacks story/fails in direction & editing/questions the basic fundamentals of friendship-love/climax being an out-n-out copy of Shahrukh’s Kuch kuch hota hai..
Sufficient elements to make a movie disaster and boring!!
Sorry Salman..1 star for ur movie!!
