BOGMALO BEACH RESORT, gets a five star from me for the location, its so beautifully situated facing the sea and the moment you enter the resort, you will be transformed into a different world alltogether as I was when I reached GOA, first and then to the resort, i love the sea, i love to gaze at it and for me it turned out to be the ideal place to unwind and stay and enjoy the holidays, with a: cool breeze blowing and a stunning view of the beach and palm trees from inside was a treat to look at.It was my first visit to GOA last year and I simply loved the place, it has to be one of the most beautiful and cleanist places in INDIA, it was a pleasure to see how well they have kept and maintained all the beaches, very clean and well kept.But my visit to GOA, became memorable because of the place I got to stay in.BOGMALO is a five star resort, it had great facilities, ambience was very classy and well done, great food, good service, freindly atmosphere and a great location makes it worth staying in there..............truly a enjoyable and memorable experience, and though it is quite expensive but its worth your money if you are willing to chill and spend quality time with your family, loved ones, freinds................
I went to GOA from BANGALORE, by road and though its a long journey, approximately 578 kms but it was not at all a tiring journey coz the roads were really good..........BOGMALO RESORT is situated, somewhere in the outskirts on BOGMALO BEACH, hence the name, its 35 km from PANJIM, but very close to the airport(5 km), we came by road, so we reached margao, first, then wasco and then the resort, it is situated away from the main city, hence the atmosphere is very quiet and serene.If you come by air or train, you can hire a taxi to reach to the place.............
EXPENDITURE, we had taken a package, it was a week stay forus, my parents, sister..........we had taken two rooms, in that package food, trip to the city, use of swimming pool , gym everything was included and though the expenses were high, i ’ld advise you to take a package to stay there, its more convient and less expensive.............
AMBIENCE...............the whole look of the resort is very good, esp the dining hall, lobby is beautifully styled and decorated.The rooms are really very well done, as well, all the rooms have sea view, that is the best thing.............what I liked particularly that it was very well maintained and kept.But my favourite place was the coffee-shop and the pool-side, esp in the night...................it gave the most perfect view of the beach, in all its glory.Overall very well done interiors.
FOOD...............food was a mix of all cuisine, GOAN, INDIAN, MEXICAN, (BUFFE)and the quality of food was excellent.There was a lot of variety to choose from, soups, salads, desserts, for lunch and dinner, and juices, fruits, and lot of other stuff for breakfast.............the food was always served fresh and hot, it was mostly self service for us...............but otherwise the service was very good too in the dining hall.There is also a coffee-shop, inside the resort, where you can order for your own food and also there is a open poolside gazobo restuarant, COCONUT GROOVE, which specialized in grilled sea food, the goan style..............where you can go to if you want to try something different.Overall the food quality was good..............
RECREATION....................there is a casino, where you can go and have a nice time and there is a gym, it has some good equipments, you can spend some time there in the morning, to kickstart your day, if you are in that mood.There is a club also, where you can go and play games, like billiards, dart, table-tannis, carrom and lot others.There is also a health club which provides you with all kind of massages, steam, sauna...............an ideal place to relax, there is also a beauty parlour there, but I found the charges to be too high.But the quality of massage was pretty good............There is a swimming pool, too outside, if you swim, you will have great time there, i don’t know swimmuing, s I used to sit by the poolside.............in the sun, and just sit and relax................so lots of things to keep you engaged and entertained.
TRIP to the city...............since we had taken a package, we went to the city from the resort, they had arranged for the trip, by bus.It was a very well organized trip, started at 2 in the afternoon and we reached back by 9 in the night.They took us to PANJIM, markets, church, beach and then to a boat cruise, it was so exciting, just loved the experience, it was an hour journey, with food available in there, and a band performing live, it was the most fun-filled experience.
ENTERTAINMENT..................this was the best thing I liked in the resort.They provided with so much entertainment.Everyday, something was performed, there was salsa dance, folk-dance, magic, live singing, very good arrangements for the people who are staying there.There is also a band which played, and sang songs, of their own, or on request.............they played some really nice english music, very good entertainement.
Apart from these there are lots of other serives provided, as in all good hotels...............but the above mentioned things made the stay in BOGMALO BEACH RESORT so memorable and enjoyable, so if you decide to go to GOA next, do make sure that you stay in there..............i can asure you will really enjoy your stay as much as I did, as for me I am always game to GO to GOA so that I get to stay in here and have a really nice time..............THE VIEW OF THE SEA MAKES ME FORGET EVERYTHING, and just makes me want to watch it.............for ever.
