Loved the stay here

I love places with a great scenic view, I guess I could even skip out the bad things even if it had a stinky room and still be pleased with a scenic view outside my room.

Goa is one place, that has such scenery that hits you in your face when you reach, either from road or by air or train the experience is the same, palm trees, smell of Cinnamon trees, cashew nut trees around, beaches etc etc.

All my goa trips if not for meeting family or for shoots I always aim to try out new locations, theres always a different feel to going to a new place where no one talks about often.

Folks always talk of calangute, anjuna, candolim, colva, and now vagator but not many speak of Bogmalo.

Since it was a leisure trip a place close to the beach rather on the beach was the need, being away from crowds was the bigger need and having a place with a good view was important. Pulled up the map of Goa browsed through various beaches googled them and decided Bogmalo it will be.

However since it was just me and friends we could afford to make on the spot reservations and go around checking hotels or accommodations. We began by road from Mumbai and covered up a good distance quickly, we took the expressway till kolhapur and then diverted of to sawant wadi, Left from Kalamboli around 5 am and was in Mapusa by 2pm Since we were making good time and did not have much traffic at any tolls, we only stopped for coffee snacks, refuel and loo. We decided since we were nearing sawantwadi around 12.30 or so to just grab lunch in Goa itself.

We quickly found our way to Bogmalo while a friend checked out hotels around that place, He told us of a place bang on the beach and we decided well head there first.

Finding the place was easy and on seeing the view from the hotel I told buds, whatever the cost maybe even if its more than taj we are staying here(well not really but you get what I mean)

We checked the pricing and rooms and bargained a bit, the rooms were awesome but the view! the view is one thing you will certainly fall for, along with the cool breeze from the beach and a rather calm surrounding with only the noise from the waves.

The ambience is classy yet simple in a unique way and pretty well kept as well. The rooms are cozy in fact very cozy and having taken a sea facing room I did not feel like step out of the room. Clean loo and a very friendly staff made it a good stay. Whats left was the food. Well anyways its not compulsory that the food has to be good you could always go out and find better places. but this place the food was upto mark, their seafood was pretty good and the goan cuisine, felt just like having some fish curry and rice at my aunts place in Majorda.

This place has now become a favorite and I plan to go bakc here the next time I visit.
