I had a car below my building, whose theft alarm wouldn’t stop till 1 hour. I complained on 100 and within 15 mins and not more than that) the rto was there..in the next 5 mins there was a beat marshal and then they called a police inspector..they tried to figure out the owner to no avail.So they actually ensured the alarm stop within 10 mins of their arrival..It was my 1st personal experience with the Police dept..
I think it is pretty effective..
