One for the family

Kudos to the debutant director for giving such a nice family entertainer...The plot goes like this.. There’s this guy (siddu/siddarth) bought up by an over-protective dad (Prakash Raj) who even insists even what dress his son has to wear... Siddu insists two things in life are going to be of his choice, viz. Marriage and career.. But his dreams are shattered when his engagement is fixed by his dad (and he is in no position to oppose it.. for the simple reason that he has not found his "love" yet in life)... Then comes Hasini (Genelia) as a whiff of fresh air into his life.... Rest.. u better watch this movie.... The dad-son relationship has been brought into focus in this movie in a really "ponderable" way (though I really doubt how many "rich" dads take so much care of their sons.. and how many "not so rich" dads can select the best for this sons) If I were to point one reason to watch this movie and I would be damn sure that any critic would accept as a valid reason, its Genelia....The way she has portrayed her role is applaudable... (another person who deserves for "living" his role, as usual, is Prakash Raj)... The rest of the cast has performed as was expected from them... Songs are good and well-picturized (though a couple of them really don’t fit into the plot)...

The one aberration I found was Siddu hurling expletives at his father after drinking (whereas respecting his father like God otherwise).. Couldn’t really stomach that part....Also, an unnecessary fight (I was expecting it from the titles coz it said "special thanks to Peter Hein")... All in all, this is one movie not to miss.. and if Telugu fans don’t make this a bigger hit than Pokiri, I guess there is something seriously wrong with us.....
