Good food with a bad ambience

After a quick search about restaurants in Koramangala, I shorlisted three (of course, there was plenty of choice) Sahib Singh Sultan, UmerKot and Bon South. The first was removed as it;s in Forum (I hate visiting the place, it’s worse than a railway station), the second was removed as I had been there twice. So, we (Me and my wife) decided to go to Bon South.

Their website was pretty impressive with the entire menu listed on the site. I booked a table for 2 (easily available coz it was Monday night) and landed up at 8 pm sharp.

First look, I fell in love with the ambiance only to realize the disadvantage minutes later. There was a team of 8 people busily discussing about office work and politics (typical topic after booze). Given the small space inside the restaurant, there noise is so deafening that I was unable to hear what my wife was saying. Even the sound system of the restaurant was nothing before their discussion. After a quick discussion with the manager, we shifted our place to other corner of the restaurant. Same problem and then a third shift before the food finally arrived.

That’s the only good part in the whole story. The food was very tasty, though a bit expensive. The total bill came to 950/- (for 2, with a starter, main course), excluding any beverages.

Good part- Food

Best for- Team dinner

Not for- Couples
