I placed an order for two books through a single transaction "Id - 1351073495625" to be shipped to my home in Hyderabad.
1) Book #1 was shipped 6 days later through DTDC and duly received on the 7th day.
2) Book #2 Fifty was shipped 2 days later through Speedpost and this is not yet delivered after 15 days of ordering and 12 days of shipping.
The tracking id they gave shows "no consignment found" on Indian postal service website.
Their response was
"The ordered book was dispatched via eVPP through Indian Postal Service. This delivery location is not covered by our normal courier and we use India Post to cover Rest of India. India Post does not provide full tracking – and normally takes longer to deliver but they definitely deliver the goods."
Speedpost will take a long while to deliver? What kind of a joke is this? If they do, why did they chose them to deliver books in the first place?
The interesting conundrum is that I ordered the two books on the same day to be delivered to the same location (my home) and yet they say that the delivery location is not covered by their courier while one book was positively shipped and delivered to me via DTDC to the same location.
I am waiting to be enlightened by them on how the same home can be both in and out of service areas?
I keep sending daily reminders to bookadda with the count down on X days after shipping and no book yet and they respond sometimes with "speedpost always delivers, just not sure when".
I asked them to cancel the purchase for just that one book and they can’t do it. Every time I have to explain the whole thing to the customer service people from the beginning. Today I tried calling them 5 times, but no ones picking the phone.
Don’t go anywhere close to these people.
