This writeup is about a father whose child is studying abroad.
After having had all the headaches of admission, visa, COVID shots. loan, air tickets, accommodation, I thought I have won the war. But that was not to be.
I never imagined the issues associated with monthly remits to the child for maintenance costs and rent.
I first had a big private bank take care of remitting monthly expenses. When I saw theservice fee, it seemed I should have gone to UK to pay in person, and that would have been cheaper! However, the service was fast(within 24 hours).
Meanwhile I had manyconsultants in our family / friends sharing with me what was the best way to pay! They were nice people, but their suggestions not so nice!
Then came oft recommended appWise. After 7 rejections from them, I finally started looking for an alternative. Each time they would ask some paper, Id upload it only for the need for another one.(I envy who use this app). With each iteration of uploading a document and seeing the rejection over 48 hours, I was losing patience.
While Googling I came across BookMyForex. I was skeptical first as I was paying around 45k to an unknown entity with hitherto unknown result on a strict time scale.
Good part was the person I spoke to - DID NOT try to sell / upsell me the service, but cooperating with me at each stage of document uploading. All those documents that were flagged byWise, went in well with BmF. It was easy, not taking more than 10 minutes all in all.
It took me 5 minutes to send INR to BmF and they took 24 hours to have it deposited in the landlords bank in UK. It was cool. It seemed cost effective in terms of efforts, time and money. Have done 4 more transactions since then with BmF.
I strongly recommend this service.
