BOOM, seemed to be a very unusual movie, with every known star in different looks!The trailors looked different, and the whole basic theme of the fashion world and underworld connection looked different!Yeah!It is different.It is a different way of suffering from headache!Sorry, I shouldn`t say this in the introduction but, well!Everybody (including me) was waiting to see this movie, and the wait isn`t over yet!The film hits the theatres on 19th September, but that everybody knows, that no one will be there in the cinema halls, because almost everyone must have seen the film on Pirated V.C.D (including me)!So, I was really disappointed to see the film, I`ve been waiting for!I thought this one to be a masterpiece but SORRY, I was wrong!
THE FILM:
Quest films, ’’BOOM’’, produced by Ayesha Shroff and directed by Kaizad Gustad stars Amitabh Bachchan, Javed Jaffrey, Jackie Shroff, Zeenat Aman, Seema Biswas, Kathrina Kaif, Padma Lakshmi, Madhu Sapre and Gulshan Grover!You can see, that there are so many talented stars in this movie, but the talent is completely wasted!All the money, stars and everything even the viewers time has been wasted!So whats left behind if everything is wasted?HEADACHE!
THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:
All the characters were half baked, and I don`t know what to tell you about them, but alright, I`ll think of writing something
1.Bade mia(Amitabh Bachcan):This person is very rich, who sits on a car, which is made for babies and shops.He lies with ladies in bikini in the swimming pool!He is completely mad, who imagines that Bo Derek is coming out of the sea, and he is running behind her!This character is completely weird!He makes papads, which are diamonds!Amitabh Bachchan!What happened to my favourite actor?Why he signed such a film.I know what exactly happened!One night, Mr.Bachchan was asleep and kaizad Gustad came to him.He said that there is a very illogical role for him to play, so Mr.Bachchan, while sleeping signed the film and when he woke up, he saw Kaizad Gustad, with a stupid wig in his hands, and he was saying, ’’ready for shoot Mr.Bachchan?’’Now Mr.Bachchan was very responsible, so he did this film and didn`t broke the director`s heart!So, the King of Bollywood, Ambitabh Bachchan is fully wasted in this film!You know that whenever a new character was introduced in the movie, his whole history with his old pictures was given!This was only to ensure that see, such great stars are in the film!Did you recognize them!Yes!I recognized Mr.Ambitabh Bachchan.As a matter of fact, it was not a duplicate, it was the REAL AMITABH BACHCHAN, there!
2.Boom Shankar(Javed Jaffrey):This is the maddest character I`ve ever seen.he opens his towel, infront of three sexy models!He goes in a tailor shop, and cuts a finger of a tailor and then throws the finger in a plastic bag (and that also without any reason!Can you imagine?)He makes a maid, sit on his lap!And I couldn`t ever understand, what he ever wanted?Javed Jaffrey was so frustrated of his life, that he acted in this film and accepted this role!All his anger could be seen in the movie!
3.Abdul Wahab(Jackie Shroff):This person is also mad!He sits on a seat, touches a girl, and says that he wants her!He makes a girl sit under his table(and his pants are off, so you can well imagine what the lady is doing under the table!!!).He asks a model for that (blow)job!Tauba!Tauba!Then he asks the model to go to Goa with him instead of going to Dubai, and walking naked!Jackie Shroff must have lots of fun with the babes!He didn`t have to perform any thing!His work was just sitting on a chair, with a table infront!
4.THE 3 models, Sheila Bardez, Anu Gaekwad and Rina Kaif(Padma Lakshmi, Madhu Sapre and Katrina Kaif):These 3 models are sexy, attractive and mad(like every character of the movie)!They go to loot a bank, start dancing their, and on of them fights with other girl on the stage while modelling!One says to Abdul, or 50/50, ’’tu asal marad hai only because you`re a gangster?’’!I couldn`t understand what they were upto!Kathrina Kaif was just sitting with the other 2 models, while the one with whom Jackie used to flirt looked very rude and the other one, oh her presence couldn`t be felt!
5.Bharti(Seema Biswas):This was another half-baked character!She is a maid, who works for these three rude models!She wants to be rich and suddenly turns very modern!Seema Biswas, being a talented actress was also terribly wasted!
Zeenat Aman as Alice also looks shameless!Do I need to tell her that Bipasha is present?She is an excellent actress, but here she looked weird, dancing on ’’Hare Krishna Hare Ram’’, with bare legs!Gulshan Grover as Medium Mia is also wasted!
THE STORY:
ACTUALLY NONE!
The girls are modelling on the stage and two of them have a fight on stage.One makes another model fall down and then then the another model attacks on the other.At that time, the expensive diamonds just get lost!Now, many mad characters are introduced, like Alice, Bade mia, Shankar, Abdul Wahab and many others.The 3 model girls have to loot a bank and get the diamonds out!They dance there and loot the bank and kill chottu Ramu and pick up mottu Ramu.Then, Shankar says, ’’chotu fg ramu’’, and the girls say ’’motu fg ramu’’ and all that mess, with some dirty scenes!In short, this is a totally senseless BLUE MOVIE!
Well, afterwards, they go to Dubai and then, the 2 of the 3 ladies (The 3rd one is doing french kiss with Chotte Mia a.k.a 50/50) start flirting with Bade Mia and Medium Mia, and nobody knows WHY???
THE WORK OF THE CREW:
Did they work?
Kaizad Gustad!Oh what could the poor director do when the film had no story and nothing!The script was pathetic which was screaming loud that we are being different!Be different, but not weird!!Screenplay is totally senseless!Background music is nice and the cinematography is good!Sandeep Chowta`s music is great!Nothing else, is brilliant or even passable!Although the film was for two hours but still it was very slow!
ON THE WHOLE:
’’BOOM’’ is the worst film ever!The film has no story, no sense and just nothing!I regret why I even saw the film!I know that many of you who must haven`t seen the film, will think that I`m being unfair, but if you`ll see the movie, maybe then you will understand!I should give you the right opinion, as it is my duty, so here is my opinion!BEWARE OF BOOM!
