Germany has produced so many star sports personalities in soccer, tennis, athletics, water sports, hockey and many other games of which we don’t even keep track off. On an average Germany (East and West) have remained among the first five nations in terms of medals tally in both Summer and Winter Olympics. In case of India there is only one game, which is played by only a few selected nations (cricket) that we have a consistent international status. And Sachin and Azhar have become heros in such despondent state of affairs faced by the sports scenario in our country. Becker is undoubted one of the best player ever produced in tennis. His achievements in the grand slam and other ATP events speak for themselves. He was the youngest player to lift the Wimbeldon at the age of 17.

As far as his personal life is concerned I think its none of our business and neither are we in any position to comment on that. If there is anything to learn from people like Boris Becker then it is about the sheer hard work and commitment that he has shown towards the game. If possible we should try to emulate such a scenario in India’s context where we are able to produce sports personalities like Boris.
