1 Year Update: 05-May-2014. The dishwasher was working properly for 6-7 months but it is performing badly now.
The dishes cleaned in our dishwasher have a white marks on them all the time and sometimes they come out dirty with food particles still sticking on them. We wash half the utensils ourselves by hand now.
I have called Bosch customer care 4 times in the last one month complaining about this issue. Every time they say that either the previous complaint was not registered properly or that the previous complaint was cancelled but they don’t know the reason for cancellation.
Every time I call them they register a new complaint but no one has addressed the issue till now. I wonder if they are purposefully not providing the customer service because of my previous reviews here or because they are waiting for my warranty to expire first(it expires on the 11th of this month).
We wanted to make sure that we have all the settings correct. Even though the water in our building is tested once a year and we knew the TDS level of our water supply, we still bought a water quality TDS tester meter just to make sure that we know the water quality level accurately everyday and ensured that the hard water settings in the dishwasher is correct. In the last one year, the water quality in our building has remained the same. I also use the correct amount of Bosch recommended dishwasher detergent. So we know for sure that it is a problem with the dishwasher.
If you are planning to buy a Dishwasher, please stay away from Bosch. Worst Installation service. Worst Customer service.
-Update after 1 month use-
Update 1-Aug-2013: We have been using the dishwasher regularly for more than a month now. It does a decent job of cleaning the utensils.
It may not be as good as the ones available in US, but that can be because of the lack of variety in dishwasher detergent and water hardness level here rather than the dishwasher itself.
I have changed the ratings appropriately now.

We bought Bosch Dishwasher on 11-May-12 in Bangalore but have not been able to use it even once till now(It’s 10-Jun-13 today). The Installation service person who came to our house was the most arrogant person that we have ever come across. He did not answer any of our questions, did not even tell us his name and left the house without installing the dishwasher(so no question of demo) citing an excuse that our utility door is too small to install the dishwasher in the utility. What kind of a stupid excuse is that?
We called the Bosch Customer Care to complain about this and their response was not satisfactory.
We called our building plumber and he managed to move the dishwasher to the utility by just removing the top cover of the dishwasher(it is the flat topmost surface of the dishwasher, not sure what it is called). The plumber installed the dishwasher and clamped the top cover back.
The dishwasher salt has been out of stock in all stores that we visited here in Bangalore so we called the Bosch Customer Service many times to check if they stock and provide the salt. Each time we call we have been put on hold/waiting for more than 5-6 mins and finally we hung up each time as we were fed up of waiting.
I decided to buy Bosch Dishwasher based on Mouthshut reviews but it turned out to be a huge mistake.
If you are in Bangalore, don’t buy Bosch Dishwasher. The lack of Installation and Customer Service does not justify spending 40k on this product.
