Hi guys. I started thinking about buying a dishwasher about a year back due to consistent maid problem. My wife was initially hesitant to go for it as she didn’t get any encouraging reports from users of IFB dishwasher users (that time it was the only one available).
I too read on net regarding dis-satisfaction of the users. So postponed the decision. This last Dec, when my wife again got the maid trouble, she decided enough is enough and gave me a green signal for the dishwasher.
I researched again and found Bosch and Siemens have started selling dishwashers. But you really have to be determined to buy their products.
As I learnt, First you have to search the dealers near you, then there is no product on display, so order from brochure on faith. On the top, the delivery took 15 days after paying the full amount( paid around 36k for it). Also, the service engineer who came initially, wasn’t good.
He fumbled when I asked questions about the product features. Had to call up someone for every question. Hence, I asked him to leave and send someone with experience. Next guy was better and also by that time, I had got most of my answers from the accompanying booklet.
By the way, Siemens and Bosch are being serviced by a single entity. Bosch is still to set-up its service dept as I learnt. There was some problem with the water inlet pipe’s screw threads of dishwasher but it was sorted out by the second service guy and my plumber. ’
Machine itself works beautifully, though there is a little learning curve to understand placement of utensils and selection of the program cycle. Also, u have to order online the Finish products as the local outlets dont store any products for dishwashers.
For all those non-belivers, dishwasher can be used with Indian style cooking with no problem. All your cookers, kadais, tawas and patilas come out absolutely clean. No prior cleaning or scrubbing is needed.
Though it has been working now for a week, so its relatively early to say, but I believe my decision to go for Bosch dishwasher is right. anyone having doubts about it, contact me at ajay101166@gmail.com. cheers.

I have been an ardent follower of Bosch equipment. And a firm believer in quality of Bosch. I always thought Bosch is a cut above the rest of gadget companies.And this only persuaded me and my wife to purchase a Bosch dishwasher SMS40M52EU/3 nearly 2 yrs ago in Dec 2011, without even a single reference from any user.
In fact, I run a blog on MouthShut_Official.com regarding Bosch dishwasher where I regularly post my experience and many people mail me to seek my guidance. So far, I have been always recommending them to buy Bosch DW.
But sadly, my whole outlook about Bosch has changed. The fact is that my dishwasher started showing an error no.9 on the display. I lodged a complaint on your service call centre on 21st Dec, 2013 (no.475706291).
The technician, who came, was ill-informed regarding the error code and was at sea regarding the problem.When I showed him the error code details on a website, he agreed about the fault in heat pump system.
He never bothered to give any feedback regarding the availability of the part needed to be replaced despite several urgent calls. Now, after nearly one week, my machine is still down with no sign of it getting back in action any soon.
I would like to know, why you can not maintain a basic inventory of parts when you sell your products.
How can you claim to be different than others when you hide behind good-for-nothing phone call executives who know nothing about customer care. Is there any senior service manager who can be reached to expedite the matter.
In short, a very bad experience as far as service from Bosch is considered.
