A.R.Rehman at its patriotic best

At first glance the movie looks like another B-grade movie but browse through the brochure and u will see names like shyam benegal and A.R.Rehman, immediately the movie comes in A-grade.Such is the class of A.R.Rehman and it shows in the music too.

Director: Shyam Benegal

Music: A.R. Rahman

Lyrics: Javed Akhtar

Singers: A.R. Rahman, Sonu Nigam and others

Number of Songs: 20

Rahman opens the CD with his own vocals in Aazaadi, The Chorus in the background adds to the magic of the song. One of the finest songs.

Kadam Kadam Badhaye Jaa is an fantabulous rendition of the old classic. definitely raises your patriotic feeling. stupendous song

Hum Dilli Dilli Jaayenge is another marching song from the movie including the kadam kadam badaye ja. Another masterpiece from the great musician.

Ekla Chalo is a bengali song done with a good orchestra support.

Des Ki Mitti about Subhash Chandra Bose reminiscing about his land. Once again, Sonu Nigam shines with his hypnotic rendition.

Ghoomparani is the last of the lyrical tracks in the album. A soft, melodious number with some lines in Bengali.

The rest of the tracks are themes from the movie depicting the various phases of the great INDIAN Bose.

Overall the album may not be hitting the charts becos of its not very commercial but it will definitely win the hearts of the critics.

Excellent Album!!!
