Greetings,
Like others, I say yet another stupendous performance by ARR. He makes me wonder if Indias already found a replacement to fill the void left behind after demise of Shri R.D Burman (Pancham da). Hes been wooing us since his first Hindi film, Roja. There were times when we (me & my friends) used to only listen to him. terrific music, novel ideas of making music. I personally think ARR did complete justice to the effectiveness & penetration of the film by giving the kind of music he gave. To prove its effectiveness, I asked the DJ to put the CD of Bose: The forgotten hero on a couple of days ago giving a perfect Grande Finale to my party that we threw for our friends... there were about 40 odd people in the banquet hall & by the time the CD was done with, I could very well see all the hands waving to the music, a few lighters being lit, applause all around. A few girls in the crowd literally crying on hearing the songs Azadi & Desh ki mitti. I guess the next party we decide to throw, we better keep it on theme of patriotism. Jai Hind.
