Akshay shows he is the Boss in his genre

After the fiasco of ’Once Upon A Time - Dobaara’, Akshay is back to what he does best i.e. being a comedy action king giving laughs and fights even if there is not much of a story in place. Add to that Mithun Da & Danny who have always been underrated & you have a film that is worth watching never mind the other negatives. The surprise element is Sony Adaalat fame DK Pathak who comes in a negative role.

The story is about 2 brothers - Akshay & another and their strict Gandhian teacher father Mithun. There is an incident in school where Akshay is accused of murder & Mithun vows not to have any relation with him ever. Danny brings up Akshay as a transporter don. The other son grows up to fall in love with DK’s sister. However, DK is a brutal police officer whose only aim is to grow at any cost and he has planned her marriage with the son of a minister.

In the process, they decide to eliminate Akshay’ brother & give the contract to Danny who passes it on to Akshay. Meanwhile, Mithun seeks the help of Akshay to protect his son, not in his role as a brother but as a goon who takes contracts. The story from thereon is about how Akshay teaches a lesson to DK & the minister. The patch up between Mithun & Akshay happens when Danny reveals that the student was not murdered by Akshay but was accidentally killed due to a mistake by Mithun himself.

The oddity in the plot is ofcourse that Mithun who shuns Akshay throughout chooses to still go to him for justice. There are the usual punch dialogues / PJ from Akshay which give some laughs. Not much of an emotional connect in the film though. Music is ok with one of the songs being copied from a South hit. Overall timepass fare.
