I was a regular Acuvue Moist user but wanted a change as I found my eyes were getting irritated. I experimented with silicone hydrogen but found them a little uncomfortable. I picked this Boston lenses because Id read they use phosphorylation(molecules found on the outer surface of cell membranes) in their lens material(omafilcon A).
I found the lenses easy to insert and effortlessly gave me 12 hours(and on some days far longer) of comfort without giving me dry or red eyes. I admit I was nervous about getting a years supply up front before Id tried them but now Im glad I did.
when I used to wear another brand but had terrible luck with them drying out and being uncomfortable throughout the day. Once I got these, I was much happier. They can dry out throughout the day as well, but that is because I have dry eyes, but much less so than the previous contact lenses. My one issue is that they can spin around on my eye sometimes, which is annoying because they are for an astigmatism, meaning I cannot see until I take it out and put it back in correctly. The way to have them sitting correctly on your eyes from the beginning is to put the writing on the top of your contact, up with all the dash marks around the rest of the eye. This does happen quite often to me, but I would say it is a bearable amount. Overall I am quite happy with this contact lens and have been using it for a number of years.
