Washing machine is another invention that has saved our mothers and our maids a lot of trouble. Well, probably the maids aren’t too glad about it but mothers definitely are. Especially those ones with kids. Actually kids of all ages tend to spoil their clothes beyond cleanliness. Be it playing in the mud or sitting on those college canteen chairs. And washing those denims is always a nightmare. But with the washing machines life is just a little more simpler.
We earlier owned a Videocon washing machine with a split unit. As in there was one that would wash and the other that would dry. One had to physically download the clothes from one compartment to another.
And then we graduated to a BPL one. This is a one-tub machine.
It offers the user options to wash-rinse-dry all at one go and even individually. All one has to do is load the clothes in, add some detergent and click a switch.
The best thing about the BPL ASB is that at one go it takes as much as 5 kilos of clothes and one round of washing-to-drying takes about 45 minutes only.
In case of heavy clothes, or in the rainy season, one can put the clothes to a second round of drying.
Contrary to people thinking that the washing machine lessens the life of clothes, it rarely does.
Most of these machines even come with a sensitive bag wherein those delicate clothes can be put in to protect them from tearing up.
We have owned this particular BPL machine for almost a decade now and it hasn’t given reason to complaint as yet.
