I bought this tv a long time back. The picture quality is really good. This one has the sound output through 2 side mounted speakers which delivers good quality stereophonic sound. The settings which are provided in the menu from controlling contrast, brightness, color, bass, treble are increases the joy of watching television specially when you are watching some westerb music related program.
The only draw back of this tv is their remote control. I dont know whether the quality of goods used in the remote control is cheap or what else is the reason, but they did not last long, buttons start to malfunction pretty soon. I already bougth four of them since I bought this tv and all of them result the same. You have to press very very hard after using it for sometime to get the desired result out of that.
Previously the remote works from almost all the directions in the room, but now you have to place to remote exactly in front of tv on a certain level then only you will be able to anything with it.
The tv set does not have any other buttons except the channel, volume and on/off button. This makes even more difficult to watch if your remote suddenly stops working, you need a immediate replacement.
Apart from this the tv is really a good product from BPL, I am happy since the day we have purchased it. Although it was needed to get repaired once, but not was a major fault, hence required a very less amount to get it up and start working.
The tuner has VHF-I, II and UHF frequencies to choose from, it has the capability of showing and storing 100 channels. It also has the functionality of setting different levels of sound, brightness, contrast, color etc. options for first 20 channels and rest of the channels inherits the settings from the last visible channel.
This tv set has child lock, tune lock etc. kind of security settings to choose from. The design of remote control is really good and very easy to operate, even if you are not watching the remote, you can do virtually any task apart from adjusting the volume level and changing the channels.
All an all it is a set worth buying except the remote problem.
