I travel moderately frequently for official purposes and during my last travel to Dallas, TX., I stayed at Bradford at Lincoln Park. My duration of stay was nearly 2 months, the review is based on the above said stay.
Rooms: Very functional and comfortable rooms. Sparkling clean rooms. One gets a unique direct# for your stayin the rooms. The local and 1800 calls are free from the room. The room also provides internet connectivity - which is not highspeed - but moderately good and very functional for business purposes. The rooms have an iron board, ironing facilities along with standdard features like TV/Cable, Alarm, AC etc. Unfortunately the selection of channel is not very diverse for a music lover, but sufficient for families or a more movie minded person.
The rooms provide a fully functional kitchnette - with a microwave, refridgerator, electic stove, an oven, dishwashwer and sufficient utensils. The kitchen is geared up to accomodate a single person’s or a small family’s cooking needs.
Facilities: The hotel features a swimming pool, which is small in size. Laundry room is located on 4th floor and sufficiently equipped. A lobby converted into small dining area doubles up as lobby restaurant in the mornings for breakfast. The hotel also has a multilevel car park for guests. A small gym, a comupter center and a tiny shoppe storing cold drinks, fresh foods and package food items (Selective range) completes the other facilities needed.
Service: Dont expect any 5star’ry sservices at this place. Be prepared to lug your luggage to your room and back while checking in/out. Cleaning services are decently prompt. Frequency of room cleaning is depending on one’s stay. You might have to remind them of refilling kichen towels / whitner sachets if you are staying long. A very good service provided by this hotel is complimentary transportation to downtown / near by areas. They run upto small bus shuttles in the mornings and evenings from hotel to these pre designated places. You need to inform one previous evening for them to have shuttle for you.
Location: Located on North Central expressway, this hotel is easily accessible form downtown (5-6 miles), citiplace business centre (4 miles). Around a mile from the nearest - lover’s lane - DART station(Dallas Area Rapid Transport - railway system) hotel has a DART bus stop just outside its main gate. The bus frequency is however not very good. This could get a bit problematic for someone who does not have own transport - but who in US does not have their own transport anyway!!! Behind the hotel is a shopping area which has a cheese cake factory, a bookstore and grocerie store. Across the road, is a mall which has 11 AMC theatres. The mall and the AMC theatre is a very latest addition to the area and is fast catching up.
Food: The hotel does not have any designated restaurant / room service food deliveries. They have complimentary breakfast, which is quite decent in spread and suitable to business traveller’s needs. Wednesday evenings, they have special happy hours - known as manager’s reception - where they serve beer and wine along with some refreshments.
Rates: They provide very attractive rates for extended stays - more than a month types.
The Pluses: Room, Kitchnette, Internet, Complimentary picup and drop - make this hotel a very ideal for extended business stay.
