Brahmin’s Cafe has been in Bangalore heaven knows since when. It is a small little place in Shankarapuram where you have to make your way through a crowd and stand and eat. It is extremely popular among old time Bangaloreans for the tasty vegetarian snacks it dishes out. The best thing about Brahmin’s Cafe are the idlis. They are served soft and piping hot. The coconut chutney that goes with it is awesome and tastes heavenly if you eat it with a little white butter. The vadaas are also crisp and very tasty. Follow it up with a hot filter coffee and you are completely satiated. In a place like Bangalore where every second hotel screws up on coconut chutney, Brahmin’s cafe is one of the few that still serves quality chutney. To top it all the rates are reasonable. It is great value for money. If you happen to live in Basavanagudi or Chamarajpet, this is an ideal Sunday breakfast destination.
