I bought my Braun blender, Multiquick 1 from Dubai. One for me and another for someone else in Mumbai. Big mistake!! I used my blender for just 6 months. Being a bachelor, I dont have much cooking, chopping or blending. My folks have had a Braun mixer, juicer, blender since 1980s and it was running for 30 years.
But this thing’s blade gave way in just 6 months. What’s worst, I didn’t realize that the blade had broken till I actually started eating my food and chunks of the blade and plastic came in my mouth. I simply wanted to add some mixed veg puree to my boneless kheema. So as I normally did, chopped my vegs and added to the plastic bowl. Wrrrw Wrrrr!! And I heard a few awkward sounds but thought it was the vegs churning. I couldn’t see anything in my cooker also but when I stared eating, I realized there we chunks of plastic and blade that I was chewing on. Gawsh!! Thank heavens, I didn’t swallow any of it, else I wouldn’t be writing this review! Phew!!
I never bothered to get it exchanged from Lulu Hypermarket, Karama where I bought it. I just dumped the entire device and broken bits in the garbage. Sorry to say that the quality of Braun had gone down to such a level!
I have never touched a Braun product after that...
