We are planning to construct a house and approached Brik and Bolt for the same. After discussing their offer on March 30th, we were informed that the offer was valid only until March 31st, 2025. We told them we needed time to evaluate other contractors. They insisted we pay a booking amount to secure the offer. We specifically asked what would happen if we decided to go with another contractor, and they assured us that the entire amount would be refunded. We requested this confirmation in writing, and they shared an email stating that 100% of the booking amount would be refunded if we chose not to proceed.
Based on this written assurance, we paid ₹;2.46 lakhs as a booking amount.(CRN533122)
After further consultations, we decided to go with a different contractor. We informed our Relationship Manager(RM) and requested a refund. The RM asked us to send an email formally requesting the refund, which we did on May 6th, 2025. He then told us he would speak to the accounts department to initiate the full refund.
A few days later, we followed up, and the RM informed us that Brik and Bolts billing cycle is the 20th of each month. However, on the 20th, we received an email stating that ₹;1.29 lakhs would be deducted from the refund. We immediately contacted the RM, who said he would again discuss it with the accounts team.
Two days later, someone from the accounts department called us and asked if we were okay with the ₹;1.29 lakh deduction. We explained that the RM had confirmed we would receive a 100% refund and shared the original email as proof.
Despite multiple follow-ups, when we again asked the RM about the refund timeline, he reiterated that we would get a full refund but said he could not commit to a date. Its frustrating that while they insisted we deposit the money before March 31st to secure the offer, there is no clarity or commitment regarding the refund timeline.
To date, we have not received our refund, and we are constantly following up with Brik and Bolt with no resolution.
