The splendid combo of prolific director Steven Spielberg and brilliant actor, Tom Hanks is back on silver screen. This time they take the audience back to the cold war era.
Story - A lawyer James Donovan, played by Tom Hanks, is given the job to defend a Russian KGB spy Abel. Despite everyones disbelief and accusations Donovan tries his best to save his client. In the process of doing that, he faces hatred from public for trying to save a spy. Donovan tries to get to the bottom of the case and finds evidence that might exonerate him. However, things dont go in his favor. Donovan does not give up on Abel and fights for him till the very end.
Cast - The movie stars Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance and Amy Ryans in lead roles. Tom Hanks perfectly portrays intense human emotions as Donovan and is absolutely brilliant in the movie. All the dialogues and scenes between Rylance and Hanks were intriguing and amazingly engaging. The rest of the cast is great in their respective roles.
In my opinion this is one of the best spy thrillers this year. Spielbergs direction was, as always, superb and I found myself completely into it. In my opinion it is an enthralling spy thriller movie and the magnificent duo of Hanks and Spielberg have once again made a brilliant movie.
