I’m amazed by the ravishing novel that Author Katherine Paterson has come up with. The book was given to my daughter from the school for reading purpose. I just read the introduction of the novel and about the author and was really keen to read the book further.
The author’s writing is too realistic and attractive which makes the reader tempt to know what is going to happen later in the story. Katherine Paterson had written this book for his Son David Paterson, it is inspired by real life incidence.
The story expresses the feelings of’TRUE FRIENDSHIP’ between 2 students studying in a same school and coincidentally they happen to be neighbors too. It expresses that how a 5th grader boy feels depressed cause he has no support from his family and how a girl of same age comes up with new ideas, and ways to get rid of the real life and enjoy her own world.But the curse was not gone. Unluckily the girl which was strength of the friendship between the two had vanished, being alone is not easy yet in the memories of friendship you never let it fall down.
This was the first book of Katherine Paterson that I had read and I just loved it, I would definitely recommend my friends to read it too.
