That thing called Love

James Waller is definitely a man who has understood the deeper meaning of Love and is willing to share that even though the premise is not conventional. I am sure it might have

been a risk which he took when he wrote this book in the commercial sense.

I read this book when I was 24 and a few months and was still stuck with the idea that

Love/Romance can happen only when you are young. Even Shakespeare

who is considered the greatest playwright did not come up with such a Romantic

story.

I am usually an impatient reader but this book made me move with the pace of the book

the way life is. This is what Romance is made of. I feel that our Bollywood Movie makers should compulsorily read this book to even understand one ounce of Romance.

I don’t want to give away much of the plot but it is

about a lady who is married and lives with her grown-up kids in a small town. She is married for several years now and is used to living a slow paced life until the pace of her

heart beat increases when she meets the Photographer. Was she happy in her marriage? What is happiness? What is Romance? What does it feel to yearn for someone?

How does it feel to cook for someone? What is it to make love to someone whom you love. What is it to be with some you want to be with and not because you need to be.

Bridges of Madison County is an unapologetic story which just makes your brain think why does our heart make us fall in Love and why don’t we have any control over it.
