We planned our holiday for Mahabaleshwar and booked at Brightland Holiday Voillage thinking it should be as good as shown on the net,
The location is good but the rooms are average for the price they are asking for. The attitude of the hotel reception is bad with a punk with a gottie manning the desk who doesn’t know how to handle the guests. I booked a poolside room but gave me different room which had no view at all. Food is good. The property is good but not maintained at all. Seems like the owner is just milking the cow without giving any fodder. The hotel claims to be host to "Omkara" team but I am sure if they had a better choice then they wouldn’t have stayed there.
The Prana Spa is good but it seems that it is an outsourced outlet and not belonging to hotel as the difference could be easily felt.Olive restaurant has a good open ambience but the food served becomes cold as it is in the open. Pavillion restaurant is fine but the decor is poor.
I will recommend this hotel only because of its location and non veg food which is rare in Mahabaleshwar
