I was living Thanjavur city since my birth. And my house is located very near to this world famous temple. Every day I wake up with the magnificent look of this great gopura. And I visit the temple every week to get some mental rest. The temple near to both railway station and city bus stand and it is in walkable distance. The temple is not only place ti visit in Thanjavur there are also old palace and manimandapam. You can take rest and stay on large number of hotels and lodges around the city and they are good and also cheap. The police ofy city are very good by heart and brave every time when I cross the temple I see police officers helping people to cross the traffic roads.
