Brindavan Hotel on M G Road is one of oldest restaurants in downtown Bangalore. Firstly, this is not a Tamilian Restaurant as wrongly mentioned by one reviewer, but a typical South Kanara one. The food is great value for money for the price of just 40 bucks. If you are likely to be around M G Road and if your stomach is growling and yearning for some sumptuous meals served piping hot and fast then Brindavan should be your destination. This is probably the only restaurant of its kind in Bangalore where you are served unlimited chapattis, a great boon to all you diet watchers. In the same vein a word of caution, go easy on the rice since they seem to be a wee bit generous with the soda, which means you, will wolf down less rice. The rice in Brindavan normally leaves a burning sensation on my tongue due to the excess soda. However, all this kitted out with the excellent Sambar and Rasam. Brindavan Rasam is something to die for, it is one of the best Rasam you would ever have in this part of town. The accompaniments are also of top quality and finally do make it a point to gulp down some curd rice as the curd is rich and thick. In summary Brindavan is worth the entire penny you pay, go for it.
