Highschool Cheerleading at it's best and worst

This is a story about high school cheerleading and how far they will sometimes go to win a competition. But the girls on this team are looking to make things right and even the score.

The movie begins with a cheerleading team about to pick a new leader. Torrance is very excited to take on the new role but before long she has some troubles. First there is an accident and one of the cheerleaders have to be replaced. Then she becomes aware of the fact that her team has been stealing cheers from another team who has never made it to the final competition before but will be there this year. It is up to Torrance to put together a new routine before the cheerleading competition.

Along the way there is a romance that starts to bloom between Torrance and the new girl’s brother. With set backs in their routine after hiring a dance instructor who turns out to be a fraud they are now forced to actually come up with original moves.

The cheerleaders put their all into coming up with something original, but will it be good enough to beat the competition whose moves they have stolen over the years, and which team should you route for anyway.

There is the team who have been held down and suppressed mostly because they are inner city but they have a really bad attitude and blame the new leader for stealing moves she didn’t even know were stolen. But then how is the other team any better? All of them aren’t aware of the fact that they have been using stolen cheers but they have been and they have had championships handed over to them for moves that weren’t original.

The movie is great in the fact that it brings the two teams together on common ground in the end. They may not have left the competition as friends but they do leave understanding a little more about each other.

It surprised me how much I really enjoyed this movie. It is a purely fun movie.
