Bourbon is now POOR BORN

Britannia Bourbon used to be known as THE BISCUIT in the premium segment when it came to market. There was hardy any competition for it on Indian shelves. We were used to likes of Nice, Coconut cookies, Monaco and local bakery products, but with chocolate cream layered finger sandwich type biscuit used to be a FEEL GOOD factor.

Recently I picked the deal on Britannia Bourbon Biscuits from Reliance Fresh - Buy Three Get Five and that seemed a great offer.

However, I was very dissappointed with the quality. The mouthfeel of the earstwhile biscuit is no longer there, Chocolatiness is just cocoa like taste and the chocolate cream within is only name sake, so less that it doesnt even keep the side biscuits together. The sides are also very thin and fragile and the bite we used to feel ecstatic about has also vanished.

I really do hope someone looks into the brand and product seriously, else we know why they have to resort to Buy Three Get Five like offers to move the biscuit from shelves. Unfortunate that an Indian biscuit which could give a run for the money to many foreign products lost out on the race due to commercialisarion and not sticking by their standards and values.
