Jim Jam biscuits have been around, since I was a 12 year old, back in 1999. I remember the days from my childhood, where my friends and I used to feast on Jim Jam biscuits like there was no tomorrow and these biscuits certainly bring back great memories! I also do remember(rather vaguely) the advertisement carried by Britannia, to promote this scrumptious biscuit.
I have always maintained that the combination of sugar coated jam(that tastes like strawberry flavoured jam, but slightly sweeter) and vanilla-ish cream, combined into a biscuit base that is baked to perfection, is so scrumptious!
This biscuit is a staple snack that my family and I have been buying for years, either for ourselves or to delight any of our friends or relatives who drop by, for a visit.
As soon as you open a pack of Jim Jam biscuits, the first thing that will come to mind is, how neatly the biscuits have been arranged on a small plastic tray like contraption, within the packet, so as to prevent any of the biscuits from breaking and thereby, leave behind an annoying trail of crumbs, that will not only create utter chaos in ones kitchen(since it is so hard to sweep up the crumbs thoroughly) but also attract ants, especially during the summer months!
As you bite into the biscuit, you are greeted by a creamy vanilla-ish flavour of the white cream, combined with a baked biscuit base that(from my experience) has always remained fresh.
As you further bite into the biscuit, you are then exposed to the sugar coated jam filled centre, which is an absolute delight to eat with the cream and biscuit base!
To me, this biscuit(even after all these years), is a stroke of pure genius!
Thanks Britannia!
