Worst Customer Service

1-800 -AirWays: I wanted to reschedule my mom’s ticket from Dulles to Mumbai. I called up their 1-800 number and was told that it can not be rescheduled since ticket had some restrictions on it (Liar!). I called them again after 10 minutes and was told that ’’yeah, it can be rescheduled and here is your confirmation number blah blah blah !’’ (interesting??) Airport Staff: I reached at airport and they could not find the reservation for rescheduled date.I gave them the confirmation number and guess what ?? it was the right confirmation number with no update made to the ticket by 1-800 customer service dude???!!!(idiots!). Airport dude spent half an hour in calculating the fees and said ’’oh, you have to pay $225 for reschedule but you can do that for free in India since it was purchased in India’’. (Do you understand what you are talking ??) Indian BA: Alright, I checked with Indian BA office to hear that ’’Sorry ma’m, it can not be rescheduled because of restrictions!’’ (Damn!) 1-800-AIRWAYS (Again!): Called up the number to hear ’’you need to pay $65 which is equivalent to 3000 indian rupees ma’m!’’ At this point I was irritated and decided to finish the matter by paying $65 at airport. Airport Staff (Again!): The lady at the airport seemed to be extremely unhelpful and rudely told us ’’You will need to pay $680 which is nothing but the fair for upgrading ticket!’’ (Go To Hell!!!) 1-800-AIRWAYS(Again!!!) Tired, exhausted, angry, upset I reached home and called up 1-800 number to literally complain about the service when the dude on phone spent almost an hour in actually rescheduling the ticket for FREE ! I got the confirmation number for update. Airport Staff (Again and Again and Again!!) I again reached airport and was literally fuming when the smart lady at the counter revalidated the ticket in half an hour after repeatedly checking if I would have to pay some money for that. Airport counter is supposed to be open from 11:30 onwards. It took her 12:30pm to actually show up at the counter !!!!!! Flight Crew: Good !! Good food, hot tea with sugar and milk, polite and helpful crew! This was the first time my mom and I were flying by BA. My ticket was rescheduled by local agent - hassle and cost free ! Personally, I won’t try BA again since I am too much irritated with 95% of the experience. I would continue using NWA ! Thanks MouthShut for giving the opportunity to speak up and ask BA to ’’Shut Up !’’ Many many thanks
