i am back with some more personal experience.This time it is about an airline.
I wanted a ticket on the same day to London from india.Only airline which had available ticket was British Midland so called BMI.
My outward journey was from Mumbai to heathrow.The flight to be honest it was okie.One can make out that it I not a luxury airline.Supplies are limited.Seats are also okie (not very comfortable)
My real experience started for my inward journey. My plan got changed and I had to change the ticket date.I was told by my agent that 1 change is free(which normally is) but when I reached at BMI counter at heathrow, the story was different.They reasons and rules they told me were so complex for a person to understand that I finally paid them 86 pounds for change of date.
Now came the Day(i dont know wat went wrong in my mind that I booked the ticked with BMI).I reached heathrow .I did not weigh my luggage.The young boy on the counter weighed it at the time of checkin.
I weighed 26.5 Kgs. The baggage allowed in BMI is 20 KG. Now that is something which any airline would not bother about.
But BMI was adamant on excess baggage.They charged me hefty 23 GBP per KG after all my human skills for negotiations failed.I came to know that on other airlines, they wud not even bother for 6-7 Kgs.
Above all, the young boy did not know the ABC of front office reception.I was just wondering whether I was travelling in international airline by air or I was in some govt office..Now comes the cabin service.The staff was rude and not helpful et all.There was a group of some 20( all senior citizens) travelling .Attendents were not kind to elderly, rather they were rude to them.
Servings again were very limited.
I have had much much better experience with out domestic airlines and I can say that our domestic airlines are much better than BMI
I will never take BMI again as my experience with them has been horrible.
