What? Customers?

Flew from Paris CDG to London Heathrow(LHR) with BMI as they are a Star Alliance member on 22 Dec 06.


Hmmmm.  OK.  LHR was virtually at a standstill due to fog and many flights worldwide starting or leaving from LHR were subjected to disruption - understandable.  However, no BMI reps were at the gate to annouce why the flight was delayed or even if it would be departing.


Poor, poor, poor.  Littl consideration for the customer.  Just keep us informed.  We know it isn’t your fault. But!  Keep us posted folks.  No BMI presence at the gate.  No information.  Poor, poor, poor.


I took the initiative and wandered to the BMI Business Lounge(even though I was flying cattle class) and enquired therin.  Full information, with a smile, from the 2 attendants.  I was even invited ionto the lounge to wait.   Why the hell wasn’t the same consideration projected a little further out towards the departure gate?  Strange, eh?
