Brittos is a chilled out restaurant on Calangute- Baga road that specializes in sea food preparations. Though are many restaurants in North Goa that serve exceptional sea food delicacies, Britto’s is extremely popular and is frequented by many tourists, every single day.
I happened to visit Britto’s last year, on a friend’s recommendation. It is a spacious shack on the sea shore with a huge canopy outside to accommodate the crowd that keeps pouring in. What I loved about this place was that they have absolutely no flooring or carpet inside the canopy, which is covered with sand. So the fact that you are one a beach in Goa doesn’t leave you even while you are gorging on some divine crabs. The restaurants has small boutiques inside for tourists that sell swimwear and trinklets. Its a pretty picture, overall.
Let’s talk about the food, which is, like I said before absolutely divine. We ordered for some garlic king prawns with sichuan chillies, poached Basa fillet and black pepper king crab. All of them were cooked to perfection and were truly mouth watering. I really wanted to try the lobster with black beans and some red snapper but I was absolutely stuffed.
Perfect setting. Awesome food. I give it a 10 on 10.
