Well, I do agree that John Grisham is the Master Story teller and all that. But this one seems to be completely off target.
The Broker begins in Washington D.C and tries to go through the last minute power play of the outgoing President who pardons a high profile Lawyer who had been in prison for the last 6 years.
The story idea was developed well and then it also narrows down to our lead character in the story named Marco who is quitely deported to Italy, but one fails to understand why the author has dedicated endless pages to detailing his Italian lessons. After some time it does become a drag.
Although having the right agencies for a thriller- CIA, FBI, Mossad and Russians. This really does not build up on the tempo although in the fag end at least it does pick up. Too little too late eh mr. Grisham? Read it only if you do not have any other options.
The author does not seem to have put his heart into this one....!
