When I came to the US I started drinking coffee at the numerous coffee shops (Starbucks etc) that abound and was very dissatisfied with them. At least their regular coffee which goes about $1.50 for a 8oz. cup. It tastes like burnt wood mixed in hot water. So started making coffee at home at a regular basis and Bru is the best coffee I have had. I really do not care for a very bitter coffee and this really fits the bill. The chicory gives the coffee a fullness and body that ordinary regular coffee lacks. It also gives a caramelly flavor to the coffee which just goes so well with a little milk and sugar. Of course the purist may not like it, but for those who do not like bitter coffee this is the best.
