Instant Coffee with Chicory

Bru may be the first instant coffee in Indian Market with Chicory.

Chicory is a vegetable being cultivated mostly in Europe (Belgium) and Latin America. People consume leaves as vegetable. Roots of Chicory plants are dried, grinded and being consumed as substitute of coffee or mixed with coffee to make a bend. Aroma and test of any coffee will depend on the proportion of chicory in it.

Bru is a brand that is affordable by many because of its price and well one develope the taste. Nescafe also introduced a low cost brand ’’NESCAFE Sunrise’’ with Chicory in it. But I still like Nescafe Classic. I like the aroma.

Like any other instant coffee it is also very hygroscopic in nature because of processing methodology. Because of its instant solubility in water (even cold) we call it instant coffee. So, I think hygroscopic property of instant coffee can not be avoided. But I do not want to under estimate those innovative characters who may shortly introduce non-hygroscopic quality. Good luck to those very few.

Recipe - it is your choice. Too much of milk and sugar is not my recipe. I like black coffee with very little sugar to kill bitter taste. Most important to me is the aroma.
