Recently brought the BSA street rider in an exhibition!
First the not so good things.. (u see when u r saving other earth, nothing is bad). The vehicle has a very very less top range of just 25kmph which means, no street rider competition here. The vehicle seems very much under powered when climbing bridges as the top speed which I could record(single rider alone) only 20 kmph.
Strictly for one person only. The seat is pretty much limited for an adult and a kid. Now for the better things. The speedometer has a cool blue display which seems to have a great impact in traffic signals. People wonder that this is a feature in the sporty bikes and a small vehicle has this. I like it! The speedo reads total kms run, Battery indicator and speed indicator as a graph and number. It is like riding a bike down a bridge with the gear in neutral. U simply glide iver the roads without noise except for a mild hmm of the motor. Thats it. Try riding it in a quiet night and one would know why it is important to buy an bike. The pick up seems good but trying to compete might not be that good a idea. The charge lasts for a good 40 kms but I cant conclude on that. I charge for almost 6 hours. Never had the time or patience to charge more but considering that the company is good. I expect the print to match performance.
No starting like conventional scooters( pun intended!) Here. Just twist the key and twist the accelerator... Zoom. The pick up is neat but then it lacks effective feedback but can be easily gotten used to ater a couple of glides(yes u literally glide. The storage is large enough to store the charger and a few items and the front desk can hold some files. The company also provides a laminated card with indian rule of this vehicle being exempted from registration and the driver from his license. Handy when police walas stop you. They cant this time and overspeed. Let them point the un at ur face.... He he he he he
Conclusion
The joy of saving the planet. The silent glide off the roads. The face turning blue speedo. Oh ya @ 30000 it does not cost u a bomb too. Buy it for short rides to markets, to school if nearby but best avoided for long distances.
