BSNL is the only Government Controlled Mobile Operator in India; So it should have been better than the others cause it has that "Extra Advantages" over others. But sadly it’s performance is below par the standard.
Few years ago when there were not much mobile operators out there BSNL was at his PRIME. They had the full control over the Networking Sector(They had largest number of customers in compare to others). However when the SMARTPHONE ERA came BSNL lost all it’s reputation due to it’s poor network reception and connectivity compare to others.
But I still had lot of faith in them cause from the childhood BSNL Landline was our only Telephone connection in our house so it was kinda hard to move on.
Though few years ago we have finally moved on not because the others were gradually improving but for BSNL was gradually downgrading their standards day by day.
Nowadays their promo packs, net packs in standards doesn’t even come near to other ones.(I personally favor AirTel for Internet and Vodafone for Calls).
They charge way too money for the packs, their call rates are even not that cheap, they don’t have wide range of RATE Cutters in compare to other networks. Call connections are not good these days, (Call drops happen too often).
And as a result customers are moving away from them, hope they will sort out their problems and come up with new ideas. Or else they will fade away!
