Common Man's Mobile Service

Hello Friends,

Last month I switched to BSNL’s pre-paid EXCEL cellular service from IDEA Chitchat bcoz it has very reasonable tariff rates along with good service and cheaper recharge vouchers.

I am getting good strength of signals in my town as well as during state highway journey. Customer Care staff is very polite and user friendly.

Till date EXCEL is only one pre-paid cellular service in India who set pulse rate of 30 seconds. So u need not to pay for 60 seconds while u talk only 30 or less seconds.

Now let’s talk about its tariff rate compare to Idea / Hutch / AirTel and see why I called it is a common man’s mobile service.

It offers SMS 60 ps. per message within india (Rs.1.40 is less)

It offers Local Calls for Cell to Cell Rs.2.20/min.(20 ps. less) and Cell to Fixed Line or WLL(M) Rs.2.40/min. (40 ps. less)

It offers STD Calls for Cell to Cell irrespective of distance Rs.2.40/min.(50 ps. less) and Cell to Fixed Line or WLL(M) between 0 to 500 kms. Rs.2.40/min. (Rs.1.50 less) and for more than 500 kms. Rs.3.60/min. (40 ps. Less)

In the case of recharge vouchers u will get same amount of talk time by paying Rs.300 (Rs.25 less), Rs.500 (Rs.40 less), Rs.1, 000 ( Rs.80 less) compare to Idea / Hutch / AirTel

As far as it concerns with its quality of service, let me tell u very frankly that BSNL cellular service is just like a State Transport Bus service, so u can’t expect much quality of service with cheaper fare. While other private operator’s cellular service is just like a luxury bus service where u get good quality of service by paying high fare. So if u have to do daily up and down then obviously u opt State Transport Bus Service.
